How To Publish Fanfics?
So you’ve written a Fanfic, it’s on a Word document and your wondering… How do I publish it onto the wiki? Well, look no further than this page. Here you will find step-by-step instructions (including screen shots) on how to publish Fanfics onto the wiki so that anyone who goes on the wiki can read them.
Step 1: Write the Fanfic in a Word document (obviously).
Step 2: Sign up (for free) to a file storage website, e.g Box.net
Step 3: Create folders for your Fanfics, if they’re in a series.
Step 4: Upload the Word document from your computer onto your Box in Box.net.
Step 5: Click ‘Share’ on the file that you want to publish.
Step 6: Copy the link, to the file, it provides in the box.
Step 7: Create you Fanfics main page, under the others.
Step 8: Create sub-pages from your main Fanfics page if your doing a whole series of scripts.
Step 9: Add information on your main series Fanfics page (if you have one).
Step 10: Create hyperlinks on the page you want your Fanfic to be published on using the link copied from the Box.net file.
Step 11: When someone wants to read your Fanfic all they have to do is click on the hyperlink.
Step 12: Then either click on the ‘Download’ or ‘Preview’ button to read it. It’s better to click the ‘Preview’ button.
